The Bastion |

The Bastion marks the spot where the Hudson's Bay Company initiated it's first defense for the growing village of modern Nanaimo. So many years later, the Bastion still stands, preserved, in downtown Nanaimo. During the summer months, the cannon is still fired at midday. The Bastion serves as a historical museum now. |
